“The Spinal Surgery Simulation Course was developed to optimize and consolidate the minimally invasive surgical technique of the lumbar spine, offering the unique opportunity to train on very realistic surgical simulators. By mimicking anatomy, the critical structures at risk, intra-operative bleeding and other complications, overcoming the limitations of cadaveric dissections, which are far removed from real-life scenarios, this is a unique opportunity to consolidate technical gestures.
This course will cover subjects such as surgical planning, the step-by-step stages, the management of complications and the post-operative management of the most common surgical procedures – lumbar decompression, microdiscectomy and transforaminal lumbar fusion – in a relaxed learning environment, but replicating the intra-operative scenario.
